During the Sacred Wells, Secret Shrines tour we'll stay near the sea in quality, 3-star lodgings,
complete with full amenities.
Day One
Our group will assemble at Gatwick International
Airport, arriving before noon so that we may begin our journey westward. We will travel part of the
way to Cornwall, staying overnight in the evocative shire of Devon.
Day Two
After breakfast we will travel on through Devon and Cornwall, exploring as we go, towards the western coastline of the Atlantic. We will seek St. Cuby’s Well and visit the white quartz circle of Duloe.
Following lunch in a nearby tea room, we’ll search for the hidden well of St. Nonny said to be attended by a guardian elf. The afternoon brings us to our
lodgings near the sea.
Day Three
We begin our explorations in earnest. Mid–morning our group will set off to explore many of the sacred places and stone circles of the Cornish peninsula,
including Merry Maidens Circle, Lanyon Quiot, and Land’s End. This afternoon, low tide will afford us an opportunity to cross the causeway to St. Michael’s Mount.
Day Four
Traveling north along the coast, we’ll visit the Kieve of St. Nectan as we make our way to the lovely little village of Boscastle. In the afternoon we will pay a visit to the great castle ruin of Tintagel, with its
legendary association to King Arthur.
Day Five
Today our explorations will be led by the preeminent researcher and author Cheryl Straffon. A Cornish native, Cheryl’s vast knowledge and easy approach grants us extraordinary access to the mysteries of Cornwall. Cheryl transports and enlightens. She’ll accompany us for the day as our guest guide.
Day Six
Cheryl will further reveal the secrets surrounding the unique and enchanting sites of West Penwith, including Men-an-Tol and Madron Well. As editor and publisher of two magazines, Cheryl continues to advance our reconnection with the ancients. She has also written many books which have been well-received, Pagan Cornwall, land of the Goddess, and Earth Goddess, among them.
Day Seven
Today is a free day. We might journal, rest, or explore on our own. If weather permits, it may also be possible to swim in the ocean.
Day Eight
We depart from our village in Cornwall and travel towards the East. As we wend our way through the lanes of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire we will come upon many more enchanting places
of interest.
Day Nine
Traveling on through the beauty and serenity of Surrey, our group will make our last night one of continued connection and celebration.
Day Ten
We arrive at Gatwick International by noon for flights home, or further travels.
Should weather conditions or unforeseen occurrences intercede, we may adjust this schedule to provide the best possible sequence of events.
