Avebury, Wiltshire, England
The grandest of all temple complexes. Measuring over 1200 feet in radius, the Great Circle of Avebury once contained two other stone circles, each larger than Stonehenge. The Great Circle is attended by many other related sites including Silbury Hill, the West Kennet Long Barrow, and Avenue. The Medieval village of Avebury grew up largely within the Great Circle's confines and a number of its buildings have used the temple's stones in their walls.
